Sometimes...

Stash isn't just about yarn...
That, my dears, is a picture of all the size 2 needles I could find...all 8 pairs of them! Now, there is a pair of DPNs in there and some differences in cable length...but 8 pairs?! Go figure. I'm a bit afraid to look at the other sizes and see where I have repeats...

  1. I am FOREVER buying new needles --- why? It's a sick weakness.

    1. They keep changing! And sometimes they go MIA...and its the absolute worst if one breaks and you don't have a replacement. Or all of them are being used and you just have to cast-on something new! Plus different cable lengths are just an absolute must!

  2. I also still find myself buying new needles, and always thinkings that surely I must have that particular size lying around somewhere! And guess what, usually I do but they just hide from me whenever I need them most. So sneaky! Anyway, I'm sure that's how you end up having 8 pairs of the same needle size :)

    1. In full honesty, I thought I had more fours than anything else but it was the twos that won!

  3. This post and the comments are bringing me some validation. In fact today I went to the yarn store to get my friend a gift cert for her birthday and I had to refrain from buying more circular knitting needles. I couldn't remember is it 1s or 1.5s I'm missing ... But yes, your 2s look like my 6s ... or is that 7s? ha!

    1. I 100% bought a new pair of needles today. However, I thoroughly searched my stats pre-purchase-and only walked away with one pair though I was contemplating a second!

  4. I have about that many of 2s as well as 8s - straights, circulars, DPNS. Who knows why I needed 8 pair of size 2 - 16 inch circulars, but I do.

    1. So that you can knit all the socks, toys and preemie hats? And always have a spare pair ready to go...
That's my excuse at least! And just in-case a cord breaks in the middle of something
